Kenya Stars Melbourne (Umoja Stars Melbourne) will participate in an exhibition football event featuring two internal club teams, a Kenyan community team from Melbourne’s northern suburbs and a non-Kenyan team. The event is expected to be attended by Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Sports, the Principal Secretary, representatives from the Kenya Academy of Sports and other government delegates. The visit aims to benchmark Australian sporting facilities and development programs while engaging with Kenyan footballers in Victoria to better understand their experiences, challenges and support needs, particularly those of international students. As part of the event, the Kenyan delegation will also officially present and donate football kits to Umoja Stars Melbourne, featuring the same design worn by Kenya’s national football team, Harambee Stars.
